Wilderness Living Skills - Basics

You are invited to participate in our Weekend  for Basic Wilderness Living Skills which is held a few times in the year. Each weeekend camp for this event will be different due to the time of year and seasonal advantages.

Take time out to learn some skills that will last you a life time. Skills that will build your confidence and awareness when on your outdoor adventures.

These sessions are great for an individuals, family or small groups. These camps are a great entry level to intermediate experience for those ready to learn some wilderness skills that will keep you safe for both your wildrness and urban survival needs.

Some thing that you will learn and experience will be:

• Building a shelter with tarps and other materials
• Rope and knot tying methods
• Making fires from different sources
• Water purification methods
• Know how to build your own survival kits for home and on the go

Things to Bring:

Food and drinks for yourself for the two night stay, along with your food preparation gear and utensils . Be sure to have appropriate clothing and wet weather gear for the expected and unnexpected weather conditions. If available bring a fixed blade knife, a tarp for shelter (6x8 or 8x10 feet, or some similar size), 100 feet of paracord, sleeping bag and note taking material. Keep all of your gear in a single backpack as best as possible.

Additional Gear:

Personal camping gear like tents, stoves, lights and other gear are welcomed and encouraged.

What is provided:

When you reserve your space for this event, you will be provided with a tent and ground tarp if you dont have your own (additional rentals are available if needed).

Access to onsite fire pitsgrills, Porta John, hand wash station, childrens play set area, bikes for trails as available and lighted trails for the night. hand out material that will be camp and sessioin related.
