Yurt Build - Onsite Workshop

You are invited to participate in this special Yurt Build Workshop hosted by OurSpace World and Daybreak Enterprise.

During this  onsite workshop you will engage in a custom build project that will involve lessons in site preparation, blueprint reading, hands on with tools, participation in a custom deck/yurt build, teamwork and more...

Knowing how to construct and manage various types of building structures and shelters are crucial for long term sustainability. Having the ability to establish this is a crucial part in your surthrivabilty for self, family or community.

This workshop will engage you with lessons in alternative shelter builds for both short term, long term and seasonal benefits including off-grid alternatives.

Space for this event is limited so don't delay to reserve your space.

We encourage participants from ages 12 and up as there is much to do and learn.

What you must bring:

Please be prepared to have any food/drink and snacks for your stay.  (Items for lunch and your dinner meals will be provided by your host during Apr. 13-15).

Be ready with appropriate clothing for work and expected/unexpected weather conditions.

Bring personal protection - eyes, ears, boots & gloves

You are welcomed to bring personal tools that you may be comfortable with or want to try out.

Bring your own tent and camping gear for this event. All participants will be camping onsite for the duration of their stay, unless you choose to opt for offsite  accommodations.

What is provided for you:

Tent and sleeping bags/pads will be available for rent. Based on availability.

There will be a porta john and shower on site.

A booklet/pamphlet abouth the project and workshop sessions will be provided for you.
